History of Old Creek Ranch
Old Creek Ranch is nestled in the hills behind the small coastal town of Cayucos. In 1949, Bob and Ruth Blanchard, looking for a healthy and safe environment to raise their young family, moved away from Los Angeles and purchased the small dairy farm in Central California.
Dairying was a constant struggle, at best, and realizing the favorable climate and potential for citrus, Bob Sr. planted the first commercial orange grove in the county, leaving the dairy business behind. Within a few years avocados became part of the scenery followed by beef cattle, sheep, goats and chickens. Over 60 years have gone by since "Gonie and Gompie" left the city life behind.
Now the younger generation, following the family philosophy of "always looking forward'" are embarking on a new venture. We invite your family to experience the taste of country life - healthy, wholesome products that we enjoy. Products "grown in harmony with nature.
